LUMIPLAYER (“LUMIPLAYER”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information may be collected, used, and processed when you use the LUMIPLAYER mobile application, website, and related services collectively referred to as the “Service”.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Overview

LUMIPLAYER is designed to let users play videos, music, playlists, supported media links, and music discovered through Jamendo or other supported providers. We aim to collect as little personal information as reasonably possible. Core app use may not require account registration.

Some technical data may be processed automatically by integrated services for analytics, crash reporting, advertising, diagnostics, media discovery, media delivery, licensing attribution, and app functionality.

2. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

LUMIPLAYER does not intentionally require or collect the following for core use:

• your name;
• your email address, unless you contact us directly;
• your phone number;
• your contacts;
• your precise location;
• your messages;
• your personal photos, videos, or files, except media you choose to open or play through the app.

3. Information That May Be Collected Automatically

When you use the Service, certain technical information may be collected automatically by the app or integrated third-party services. This may include:

• device type, device model, and operating system version;
• app version, device language, and general region;
• app interaction events and playback-related app events;
• search queries or content discovery actions inside the app;
• selected track/video identifiers, playlist/favorite actions, or recently played items stored locally or on our systems if enabled;
• crash logs, diagnostic data, and performance metrics;
• advertising identifiers where ads are displayed and permitted by your device settings;
• network information needed to request supported media streams, Jamendo data, metadata, artwork, and license information.

4. Jamendo Integration

LUMIPLAYER may use Jamendo APIs to provide music discovery, track metadata, artwork, previews, streams, artist information, source links, and license information.

When you search, browse, or play Jamendo content, requests may be sent to Jamendo or related infrastructure. These requests may include technical data such as IP address, app version, device information, search terms, track identifiers, and playback request information as needed to deliver the feature.

Jamendo content licensing can vary by track. We may display available license metadata, artist credit, track title, source URL, and license URL where provided. This information may be cached or stored to help show attribution and license details in the app.

To support license compliance, LUMIPLAYER may process and display Jamendo metadata such as track ID, artist name, track title, artwork, source URL, license type, license URL, and attribution text. We may cache this metadata to improve performance and to show license information consistently in the app.

5. Analytics and Diagnostics

LUMIPLAYER may use Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, or similar tools to understand general app usage and improve stability. These services may process device information, app usage statistics, crash reports, and performance data.

6. Advertising

LUMIPLAYER may display advertisements through Google AdMob or other advertising networks to support the free version of the Service.

Advertising providers may collect or process information such as advertising identifiers, device type, approximate location derived from IP address, ad interaction events, and technical data used to deliver, personalize, limit, and measure ads, depending on your region, consent choices, and device settings.

7. Media Playback and Third-Party Content

LUMIPLAYER may access media, metadata, or streams from Jamendo, external content providers, public APIs, licensed media providers, or links selected by users. To deliver playback, requests may be sent to those providers.

Such requests may include technical data such as playback request information, IP address, device data, app version, and session information. We do not control how third-party providers process data, and users should review provider policies where applicable.

8. App Permissions

Depending on features you use, LUMIPLAYER may request platform permissions such as media library access, notification access, or background audio capability. Permissions are used only to provide the requested app functionality. You can manage permissions through your device settings.

9. How We Use Information

Information processed through the Service may be used to:

• operate and maintain the app;
• provide playback, playlists, search, Jamendo discovery, and media controls;
• show artist, title, artwork, attribution, source, and license information;
• improve performance, reliability, and user experience;
• diagnose crashes and technical issues;
• serve and measure advertisements;
• protect the app from abuse, fraud, or misuse;
• comply with legal obligations, content licenses, rights-holder requests, and platform requirements.

We do not sell personal data.

10. Data Sharing

We may share limited information with service providers that help operate the app, such as Jamendo, analytics, diagnostics, advertising, hosting, or content delivery providers. These providers process information according to their own policies and applicable data protection requirements.

We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, platform enforcement, content licensing enforcement, rights-holder request, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information processed through the Service. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children’s Privacy

LUMIPLAYER is not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Service, please contact us so we can take appropriate action where possible.

13. International Use

The Service may be used in multiple countries. Information processed by third-party services may be transferred to and stored in countries other than your own, depending on the infrastructure of those services.

14. Your Choices

Depending on your device, operating system, and region, you may be able to limit or reset advertising identifiers, manage personalized advertising settings, disable or manage app permissions, control notification and background audio settings, clear local app data, or delete the app from your device.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date will be revised. Continued use of the Service after updates means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
